Summer FOMO Hits Hard for Those Who Missed It:
Mystic Sk8 Cup’s Epic 30th Anniversary

Mystic Sk8 Cup didn’t disappoint, bringing the heat for its 30th anniversary celebration.

As a longtime partner of the event, Volcom brought the skate team to soak up every moment: a meet and greet session at the iconic Stalin Plaza in Prague, street, bowl, and vert competitions, plus marketing booth antics, live concerts, late-night parties, and no bar left untapped.

Like a Mai Tai cocktail, the event was a classic mix of strong and bold ingredients that somehow came together just right. It kicked off summer in style, had everyone hyped, brought the party, and definitely left us with a good hangover.

The recipe? Skateboarding legends and icons, party animals, rising international talents, locals, a brand-new street course, fresh wood for the bowl, and a vert ramp—all set alongside a mini festival on the infamous Štvanice Island in Prague, Czech Republic.

Live bands included Dilated Peoples on Friday night, transporting us straight to late-’90s California vibes. Then, on Saturday night, Volcom Entertainment lit things up with Smudged (Netherlands) and Suck (Germany), bringing an explosive, raw energy that turned the dancing crowd into a full-on mosh pit.

Congrats to Madi for taking second place in the Women’s Bowl, Noa De Jager and Simon Gerber for placing fifth and seventh respectively in Men’s Street, and also congrats to the overall comp winners: Luke Kahler (Vert), Angelo Caro (Men’s Street), Valentina Krauel (Women’s Street), Viktor Solmunde (Men’s Bowl), and CaiCai Cao (Women’s Bowl).

Mystic Sk8 Cup is turning 30!

From June 27–29, 2025, the legendary contest, which is part of the World Cup Skateboarding series, will take place at its traditional home on Štvanice Island in Prague, welcoming over 200 skateboarders from around the world for a special anniversary edition.

Proudly supporting the event for over two decades, Volcom is spicing things up for this special edition:

  • Skate and get together with the team at a Meet and Greet at Stalin Plaza on Thursday, June 26, from 6pm – gifts & free drinks.

  • On Saturday, June 28, cut loose and rage at the Volcom Entertainment stage with live bands SMUDGED and SUCK.

  • Hang out at the Volcom Booth all event long for more surprises!

SUCK

Celebrated as Europe's biggest skateboarding contest and one of the longest-running skate competitions in the world, this year's special anniversary edition will feature a freshly redesigned skatepark and a special Vert Jam on a newly constructed vertical ramp.

The jam will feature legendary skateboarders from around the world for an unforgettable session.

Throughout the weekend, skaters across all categories on STREET and BOWL will compete for a total prize purse of $33,000 USD.

Once the day's contests wrap up, the event continues into the night: live concerts from international bands will light up the evenings, with the Volcom Entertainment stage on Saturday, and DELINQUENT HABITS featuring SICK JACKEN on Sunday, followed by official afterparties, making Mystic Sk8 Cup an all-day, all-night festival of skateboarding and music.
