Volcom & Gnu Game of S.N.O.W
First edition of Volcom & Gnu Game of S.N.O.W. was a banger. The format was perfect for good vibes and nonstop action!
The event went down at the Volcom Krynistler Snowpark located on Jaworzyna Krynicka on the 17th of February and was a first edition of a happening that we’ll surely repeat! Our local shamans made sure of an excellent sunny weather all day, and after a morning registration, the battles started quickly on the two parallel rails. Once the qualifications resumed, an epic battle went down during the final between Jakub Szkaradek and Rafał Sypień on the long kinked rail. In the end the first Game of Snow king was crowned, Kuba Szkaradek who won some cold cash, a brand new Gnu board and tons of prizes!
Only one woman competed and gave a hard time to the boys – Weronika Xięska was fighting strong and made a huge impression on everyone and walked away with a special prize as well. At the end we left the “cherry on a cake” – two best tricks sponsored by Gnu Snowboards and ThirtyTwo on a special setup. Everyone went nuts with transfers and some serious hammers. Rafał Sypień won himself a pair of fresh new Thirty Two’s after ripping on the kink and Maciej Długosz aka Dziadu landed a fs 50-50 pop 270 transfer to bs tailslide on the trapeze to win a brand-new GNU board. We gave also special awards to Tomek Zielony and Olaf Sypień for their performance.
