RESULTS | Totally Crustaceous Tour (TCT) | SIDFISH, PORTHTOWAN, UK

The Annual Sidfish surf series gathered English competitors under cloudy skies and the mist that is quite common in Cornwall at this time of the year. Porthtowan's beach and sand banks got smashed during the heavy winter storms and due to this a lot of the sand has disappeared , with some new bits of reef showing up on the sand around mid to low tide. The event went well despite the poor conditions and the waves cleaned up for the Pro Am finals.

Thanks to everyone who helped out at the event and especially Josh Ward and the judges, Jack Clinton and misses, and the Blue Bar.

Letitia Canales, winner of the Sopela Pro Junior
What a great week and victory for Letitia Canales at the Sopela Pro Junior, her home spot, front of her whole family and friends! After couple months out of the water, Letitia went back at the competition last month in Portugal at the Espinho Pro Junior where she finished at a 3rd place. Letitia was the standout of this 3rd Euro Pro Junior of the season at Sopela where she won each heat she surfed and didn’t give any chance to the other surfers thanks an impressive power surfing! She’s now sitting at the 4th place (with one missing contest) of the Euro ranking and can target to be crowned WSL Euro Junior champ at the end of the year! Meet up at Lacanau in two weeks for the next Pro Junior. Congrats again Letitia!! Credit photo: WSL

There's something about Harry
Credit photo: Andrew Christie I hooked up with Harry in Sumbawa, watched him blow people away in the water with his barrel riding and airs, got talking and decided to create this short film. Filmed by Vince Timson and Gudi Ferrer Edited by Gudi Ferrer Harry Timson comes from Cornwall in England, but he spent so much time in Indonesia the last couple years that he should have Indonesian blood in his veins! European surfers in California for the Volcom totally Crustaceous Tour global Championships 2015
On the 10th of June, a group of up and coming European surfers converged to California for 2 weeks, to compete at the 2015 Volcom Totally Crustaceous Tour global Championships. The group consisted of Camilla Kemp, Joao Moreira and Alfonso Antunes from Portugal, Ariane Otxoa and Lander Davila from the Basque Country, and a heavy French crew with William Aliotti, Charly Quivront, Jordan Oueslati, Nomme Mignot, Lens Arancibia, Justin Becret and Marco Mignot, who all got their trip paid by Volcom after qualifying through the European leg of Volcom’s TCT. As a mascott, little Noa Dupouy from France joined the crew after qualifying for the competition in Hawaii. The Volcom totally Crustaceous Tour global Championships 2015 gathered surfers from all around the world, and this year the main event was held at the world-class wave of Lower Trestles but due to a busy schedule, the first rounds of the competition were run in Newport Beach 10 days prior, which gave the surfers a little free time to kill the jetlag, wander around, train, and get a taste of the life in Orange County, California. Check out the photos below for a little photo reportage on what went down on the side of the competition during those two weeks. Click here for the full contest results, video, photos and webcast replay. See behind the scene clips on the low environmental impact of the event, staying “True To Trestles” HERE.
